Below are some common questions regarding the B'Dazzled Teeth
Whitening System:
What's the Active Ingredient in
B'Dazzled?
All B'Dazzled products are Dentist approved and Scientifically
developed.
Hydrogen peroxide was chosen as the active
ingredient as it has been proven to work three times faster and is
three times stronger than Carbamide Peroxide (another popular
whitening agent). Hydrogen peroxide is preferred for shorter wear
times as opposed to overnight wear with the Carbamide.
How Does B'Dazzled Work?
The active ingredient in B'Dazzled is Hydrogen peroxide.Once the
peroxide hits the saliva and heat in the mouth, it breaks down into
oxygen and water . The oxygen bubbles travel through the pores of
the teeth these are called enamel rods, they resemble finsh scales.
The Oxygen bubbles find the stained molecules between the Enamel's
crystalline like fishy scales and oxidize these stains so the teeh
appear shiney white again.
Who can use B'Dazzled Products?
Anyone with stained teeth or anyone wishing to brighten up their
smile.
How long will it take?
½ an hour twice per day for two weeks - 3 weeks if you have heavily
stained teeth. Most people will notice a difference after 5 days.
How is B'Dazzled different to Colgate Simply White or White
Glo?
The gel is professional strength (approximately 3-24 times stronger)
and using the patented thermo shrink mouth guards it is held against
the teeth for the full half hour without any saliva washing or
diluting the solution.
My toothpaste says it whitens my teeth, isn't this enough?
Whitening toothpaste will eliminate stains caused by tea and coffee
that you have consumed that day. It is not strong enough to whiten
stains deeper within the enamel. Some toothpastes also contain a
white pigment (titanium dioxide) that can give the appearance of
whiter teeth however this will quickly wear away.
Why is the strength only 8%, I've seen 10%, 16% or 24%?
There is no gel on the market that is a 10% or 16% Hydrogen peroxide
that is used for "at home" treatment. This is Carbamide peroxide
that is usually worn overnight or for a much longer period of time
than Hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen is 3 times stronger than Carbamide.
I was told these type of products could ruin your
teeth/enamel, is this true?
B'Dazzled uses a non acidic (neutral pH) gel with dental grade
hydrogen peroxide that breaks down into oxygen and water (unlike
home bleach which breaks down into chlorine). The oxygen safely
penetrates through the enamel to find the stains and oxidize them
clear.
How is B'Dazzled different to laser treatment?
The laser treatment usually uses 35% Hydrogen Peroxide and it takes
1-1½ hours. The peroxide is still oxidizing the stain, however
because it's a stronger concentration it's working a lot more
quickly. The results may not last as long as it hasn't had as much
time to stabilize in the teeth.
I have medicine stained teeth from when I was a child, with it
work on this?
You will notice an improvement but it takes a very long time to
whiten this type of stain.
Can I whiten of I'm pregnant or lactating?
No studies have been conducted so you are advised not to.
I have a lot of white spotting on my teeth, can B'Dazzled
help?
B'Dazzled cannot do anything for the white spots (fluorosis or
calcium deposits) however, it can whiten the surrounding teeth to
try and balance out your teeth colouring.
What about Crowns/Veneers/Fillings/Gold/Silver (amalgam)?
B'Dazzled cannot whiten any dental work. The only thing it will do
is clean any stain the crown/ veneer/ filling has acquired over
time.
Will it hurt?
60% of people experience some type of sensitivity.
What about smoking or drinking coffee?
You cannot smoke/ drink coffee/ red wine/ tea within a half hour of
whitening or before bed. The teeth have pores like the skin and
during the whitening process they are more likely to uptake any
stains ingested.
